Class Descriptions

Note - not all classes are offered at all times of the year. Please check the class schedule for current class offerings. 

Tiny cheer class

A perfect class for your little one, ages 3-6, to come into the gym and learn cheerleading skills and have some fun! 

Tumbling Tots

Want to get your little one moving? This class for 3-5yr olds focuses on having fun while practicing the foundational aspects of tumbling - body positions, rolls, balance, jumping and flexibility. They will also learn some basic drills to set them up for handstands and cartwheels. Your child will have a blast!

Back Handspring Class

Learn and perfect the back handspring with lots of drills and instruction to help kids understand and master proper      technique. (Independent back bend + kick over required)

Tucks Class

This class will focus on learning back tucks. Both running and standing tumbling will be worked, as well as punch fronts. (Independent round 3 back handsprings is required)

Beginner tumbling

The focus will be on mastering the basics - rolls, handstands, cartwheels, roundoffs - and working up to back and front walkovers. The class will use lots of drills to help kids understand and master a strong foundation for more advanced tumbling. 

Level 1/2 tumbling

Work on skills leading up and including front and back walkovers, back handspring drills, and back handspring variations. 

Walkover Class

This class will focus on learning and perfecting front and back walkovers. Drills will focus on technique as well as back flexibility and strength. 

Layouts & Fulls

This is a great class for working on layout shaping and drills, and learning to twist. Advanced tumblers can also work double fulls, arabians and more elite twisting passes. (An independent roundoff back handspring tuck is required).

Open Gym

Come and work independently on the skills you want! Kids are welcome to work tumbling, jumps, flexibility, stunting, dance, etc. Come or bring a stunt group. Instructors will supervise and offer assistance when needed. All skill levels welcome! Ages 7 and up. 

Flyers Class

Flexibility and stability will be the focus of this class. Flyers will use stunt stands to work on balance and pulling all flyer body positions. Flyers of any level can benefit from this class, and all levels and abilities are encouraged to attend.

Jumps class

All cheerleaders, at all levels need to master jumps! This class teaches correct technique and works drills to help athletes improve jump height, hyper-extension, arm placement and landings. All jumps are worked, and all ability levels are encouraged to attend.

Strength & Conditioning

Build muscle and improve stamina with a great workout, designed to help athletes become stronger and more fit for their routines! Exercises use body weight and free weights, as well as partner conditioning and cardio! 

 Stunt Class

Bring your own group or stunt with our senior and alumni athletes. 

Advanced Tumbling

Tumblers can take their skills to the next level in this class, which focuses on level 4, 5 and 6 tumbling skills. Athletes will work on layouts and twisting, as well as whips, Arabians, punch fronts and more. An independent round off back handspring tuck is required. 

Team Training

Get your whole team in the gym!  We can help with team tumbling, game material, competition routine critique, stunts, or whatever else you need.

ATTN: High School and Youth Recreation/Pop Warner Coaches: You and your team can work with one of our CNY staff once a week at our gym. Work on stunts, jumps, routine material, game material, whatever you need!  After school times available, limited weeknight and weekend availability.
